La Pica Conversion Project

UCTF in Puerto Rico
Our project is designed to convert a former youth incarceration facility into a center for education and skills development.
Our vision is a bold demonstration of positive, community-wide impact of investment in workforce development and education.

What is La Pica?
An opportunity to:
Dramatically and positively impact the lives of this community through innovative education, occupational skills training, and community building.
Provide our most at-risk youth with meaningful education and life-long work skills, alongside adults engaged in pathways toward occupation.
Engage seniors to make a positive contribution in a supportive environment
Create a pathway to academic success through involvement in athletics.
